The Blawenburg Church Cemetery is on Rt. 601 near Route 518 in Blawenburg (Montgomery Township.)
Donald Terhune is in charge of grounds and has done a wonderful job cleaning and sprucing things up. The vines and trees have been wrenched from the fence line, many old scrub trees have been removed, and the shed, which was rotten, is also gone. The wings on the stone gate, which obstructed one’s view when leaving the cemetery, were removed; leaving the attractive stone posts.
There is a new presence on the scene however, a truly lovely sign with our name on it. It is the first time our cemetery has had one. Don cut and framed the wood, supervised the signage and installed it. Thanks Don!
The cemetery is still being used; there are gravesites available. Eric Perkins (609-947-3617) is the contact for sales and burials.
Let us know how we’re doing.
